Magic promotion numbers wobble

The Burnley defeat has put the cat amongst the pigeons as far as the Championship is concerned. It is comforting to look at our 33 matches played and our 9 point gap at the top of Division One but it is an illusion. Our current form is mid-table fare.

If all teams maintain their current last six results form we will have a rollercoaster ride until the end of the season.

In our last six games we have won 2 drawn 2 lost 2 while Bolton have won 3 and drawn 3 any further deterioration in our form and we may not only miss out on being Champions, horror of horrors, we might miss out on automatic promotion.

Jean Tigana has to steady the boat, review the sailing instructions and inject more belief and enthusiasm into the crew or we might sink out of sight.
