Fulham's hopes of welcoming Louis Saha back into action have been dealt a huge blow.
The Frenchman hasn't started a Premiership match this season due to a hamstring injury, which now needs an operation.
A Fulham spokesman said: "Louis has been to see two specialists and they have recommended he has an operation.
"He will be going into hospital this week and until we see the results of the operation we don't really know how long he will be out.
