Zat Knight |
Fulham manager Chris Coleman has told defender Zat Knight to forget about his England prospects and concentrate solely on his club football.
Knight has won back his place in The Cottagers' side in recent weeks and has shone in the last two games against Newcastle and Tottenham.
The 26-year-old has also taken the captain's armband in Luis Boa Morte's absence but Coleman insists the defender is not immune from being dropped.
Knight's recent performances have brought with them talk of an England recall under Steve McClaren but the Fulham boss is determined to wipe any similar thoughts from the stopper's mind.
"Zat Knight shouldn't have one second's thought about England at the moment. What he should be thinking is 'I don't want to be back out of the team'," Coleman said.

"He won't be back out of the team if he continues his recent form. That's what has got him back into the team and that's why he's got the armband in the absence of Luis Boa Morte.
"England will come along if his performances continue. He can't be thinking about England. Every second has to be focused on being captain of Fulham and keeping himself on the pitch."
