Fulham defender Jon Harley allowed to be cup tied |
Fulham have been persuaded by Sheffield United boss Neil Warnock to allow on-loan full-back Jon Harley to feature in the Blades' Worthington Cup fourth-round tie against Sunderland.
Warnock was originally told by the west London club not to play the former Chelsea man because the Premiership side are still in the competition.
But Warnock would not take 'no' for an answer and said: "After making several attempts and numerous phone calls, I've managed to persuade Fulham to give permission for Jon to be available.
"We are delighted Jon can play and must place on record we are very grateful to Jean Tigana and all at Fulham."
The United boss will, however, be without strike duo Steve Kabba and Dean Windass, both of whom are cup-tied.
