HULL City expect Jimmy Bullard to be out for a maximum of two weeks, chairman Paul Duffen said today.

City's £5m man has played just 37 minutes since his move from Fulham after jarring his knee in his debut at West Ham last week.

The club-record signing missed Saturday's 2-2 draw with West Brom with the injury, which is to the same knee which kept him sidelined for 16 months at Fulham.

City believe it not to be the same injury, but have sent scans to renowned US-based specialist Dr Richard Steadman as a precaution.

The club is still awaiting his feedback, but chairman Paul Duffen today reassured fans they are not expecting any problem.

"Jimmy is completely stable, it is not the same injury as 18 months ago and the worst case scenario is that he will be out 10 days to two weeks. That means he will be available to return in time to play Tottenham.

"Even if he does need an operation, it will only be to trim a ligament like Bernard Mendy had earlier in the season."
