Fulham Football Club has announced the signing of Danish international Left-Back Niclas Jensen from the Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund. The 31 year old defender joins Fulham for an undisclosed fee in a two-year deal that will see him at the Club until 2007.

Strong in the tackle and with a fierce left foot Jensen represented Denmark at various youth levels, stepping up to the senior side in August 1998 with a subsequent selection for Denmark's 2002 FIFA World Cup squad.

One of the stars of the qualifying campaign for EURO 2004, Jensen missed just nine minutes of football en route to Portugal and after starting the tournament on the bench, won a place in the team for the Danes' final two matches.

He began his career with FC Kobenhavn, and in 1996 moved to PSV Eindhoven only to return the following term to FCK. In 1998/99 and in 2000/01, under Englishman Roy Hodgson, Jensen and Kobenhavn won a second championship. In January 2002 Jensen joined Manchester City and immediately helped the club seal a return to the Premiership, where he scored once in 32 games in 2002/03 as Kevin Keegan's side finished ninth.

Manager Chris Coleman commented:
'This summer has proved very productive for us in the transfer market and I am happy with the acquisitions we have made.

'The Chairman has again shown his continued support by allowing me to continue strengthening and having had a successful training camp out in Austria I am confident that we have everything in place for the new campaign.'
