Inter Milan outcast Robert Acquafresca, a summer transfer target for Fulham boss Roy Hodgson, believes he will sort his future out this week.
The striker, who spent last season on loan at Cagliari, says he has been told clearly that he is not part of Jose Mourinho's plans at the San Siro.
He is being tracked by many Italian sides, while the Cottagers have also officially expressed an interest, and he will be considering his future while at the European Under-21 Championships.
He told Gazzetta dello Sport: "Now I'm tranquil and I'm keeping my concentration for the Under-21 European tournament.
"Obviously I'll also think about my future, which is set to be decided in coming days.
"I want to underline a thing - I have never said I want to go where I'd be guaranteed a regular starting place.
"I want only to have the possibility to play - to have my chance at the same level with the others.
"I'm used to having to fight to earn my place."
Inter and Genoa recently failed to find an agreement about a possible move for the 21-year-old, while Acquafresca also revealed Fulham's interest.
"Fulham called me personally on the phone. Each hypothesis must be considered - I could also try to go abroad as others have done," he said
