Hull Manager Phil Brown |

Hull boss Phil Brown has called on his Hull City side to forget their recent poor run
of form and begin afresh as they fight for survival at Fulham tonight.
The Tigers have fallen upon hard times after failing to win in their last 11
Premier League matches.
Only a three-point gap now separates City from the relegation zone after
damaging home defeats to rivals Tottenham and Blackburn inside the last 10 days.
But as Brown plots a first win since December 6 against Fulham tonight, the
City boss has urged his players to create their own destiny.
Brown said: "It's been a difficult week in that two of our
closest rivals have beaten us at the KC Stadium, of course it has.
"But they're on the wave behind now and the season starts now as far as
I'm concerned. We've got 11 games to go and what points tally is required to
stay in the Premier League?
"The stats are that we've got 29 points on board - that's probably 29
points more than anyone reckoned we'd get - and we're not in the bottom three.
"We're 13th in the Premier League and we're in the last eight of the FA
Cup, you tell me there's a Hull City fan out there that wouldn't have taken that
and I'll show you a liar."
Fulham, who have lost only one home fixture this season, will look to pile
the pressure on City in West London tonight.
And while Brown accepts that the spotlight is beginning to shine on his
under-par squad, he will not abandon his ideals.
"Of course the pressures are mounting on the next win and where it's
going to come from" he added.
"Am I feeling pressure? No. I've had a couple of phone calls since the
weekend from very distinguished Premier League managers that are coming out with
a lot of compliments about the way we've approached this season.
"We know that we are one of the hardest working sides in the division
and we need to maintain that hard work.
"However, the only thing that's missing at the moment is that little bit
of composure in the final third."
