Crystal Palace will make a renewed bid to sign on-loan defender Mark Hudson from Fulham permanently this week.
The Eagles extended Hudson's three-month loan to take in the 1-1 draw against Wigan at the weekend.
Fulham now want Hudson back but the 22-year-old is willing to make his move to Selhurst Park permanent.
Palace boss Iain Dowie is desperate not to lose him with the play-offs in sight and chairman Simon Jordan is negotiating a deal worth £1million which he hopes will be completed over the weekend.
Hudson has yet to appear in the Premiership for the Cottagers despite graduating from the youth team nearly four years ago.
