Fulham striker Heidar Helguson is widely reported as being suspended for the Charlton game.

Fortunately for The Cottagers this is not correct.

The Iceman has certainly accumulated 5 yellows and therefore must suffer a one match suspension. However FA rules state that any suspension for accumulated cautions will commence 7 days following the game in which the offence occurred.

So as the last Helguson's caution came against West Ham his suspension does not commence until the 30/12/06. That means that he will miss the Fulham Broadway game not the Charlton game.

Hopefully he is fit so that he can terrorise The Addicks defence.
