JON HARLEY has been confirmed as a Fulham
player after passing a medical at Craven Cottage this morning.
The 21-year-old has put pen-to-paper on a four-year deal to complete
the switch across west London from rivals Chelsea, who have insisted on
a 25-per-cent sell-on clause.
The £3.5million signing of Harley takes manager Jean Tigana’s
summer spending to over £17million after bringing in Luis Boa Morte,
Steed Malbranque, Abdesalem Ouaddou and Edwin van der Sar.
Harley said, “I am pleased to have been given the opportunity to join
Fulham and have huge respect for the manager Jean Tigana.
“I have happy memories of my time at Chelsea and have many friends
who understand that this is a great chance for me to improve myself and
play at the highest level.”
Harley is included in the Cottagers squad to face Alaves for Saturday’s
pre-season friendly.
