FULHAM
Fulham manager Jean Tigana is unlikely to make any major changes to his side for
the season's final match at Grimsby.
The champions will be aiming to finish the season with a win but last weekend's
1-1 draw with Wimbledon has meant they cannot break the First Division points
record of 105.
Alain Goma is set to continue in the centre of defence at the expense of Andy
Melville, who was a substitute for the Frenchman last time out.
Karlheinz Riedle is set to take his place on the bench again with Luis Boa
Morte and Louis Saha staying up front.
The German could make his final appearance in a Fulham shirt after newspaper
speculation linking him with a move to American Major League Soccer side Miami
Fusion.
Barry Hayles has played his last match of the season as his recurring ankle
problem means he is set to remain on the sidelines.
GRIMSBY
Grimsby boss Lennie Lawrence has doubts over two players for the crucial match
against champions Fulham at Blundell Park.
Tony Gallimore has a question mark hanging over his fitness after picking up
a sore knee during the week, while Stacy Caldicott is struggling with back and
hamstring injuries.
The Mariners are fighting for survival and know that a point from the game
will ensure their Division One status for next season.
Club captain, Paul Groves said: "We are in a position that if we take
a point or three from the Fulham game, we are safe from relegation.
"It's straightforward enough, that if we do the required job, we do not
have to rely on anybody else."
