Shrewsbury's search for a goalkeeper has finally ended as they signed Fulham's Glynn Thompson, a former player of theirs.
Thompson is well known to the Shrews and the fans as he started his career at Shrewsbury before being transferred to the Cottage for £150,000 with several clauses in his contract including one which meant Town would have got a bonanza pay-out if he played for England.
The 'keeper was signed from Shrewsbury Town in November 1999 and went on loan to Mansfield in the 1999-2000 season where he made 16 appearances.
The youngster has made notable progress and is likely to step straight into first team action tonight against Cardiff City.
