Fulham defender
Martin Djetou |
Fulham are reported to have made their mind up and are now keen to extend the loan contract of defender Martin Djetou despite recent speculation linking the French International with a move to Marseille.
The Frenchman has been on a season-long loan deal from Parma and was uncertain if Fulham wanted to take up their option following the change of manager at the Londoners' helm
The Ivory Coast-born defender spent four seasons with Strasbourg before joining Monaco in 1996 where he played under Jean Tigana. He helped Monaco win the French Championship in his first season at the club.
Djetou moved from Monaco to Parma two years ago in a £6.5million deal and he started 22 Serie A games for the club as they successfully staved off relegation and won the Italian Cup.
The 27-year-old defender has won six international caps for France after making his debut in October 1996.
Provided Fulham and Parma can agree the details Djetou can look forward to lining up for The Cottagers in their third season in the Premiership.
