Fulham v Wimbledon - Squad news

last updated Friday 27th April 2001, 12:50 PM
FULHAM
Fulham manager Jean Tigana will be able to recall several of his international stars for the club's final home game of the season against Wimbledon.

Bjarne Goldbaek, Luis Boa Morte, Andrejs Stolcers and Steve Finnan all missed the midweek victory against Wolves as they were away on international duty.

And all four could return to the starting line-up as the Cottagers aim to continue their assault on the First Division points record.

The current record of 105, held by Sunderland, could be overhauled if the Whites win their last two games of the season.

Tigana will also check on the fitness of striker Barry Hayles who has been struggling with a recurrence of an ankle injury. The start of a three match suspension for Rufus Brevett, following his sending off at Blackburn, could lead to a rare call up for Terry Phelan.

WIMBLEDON
Wimbledon manager Terry Burton will welcome back Kenny Cunningham and Trond Andersen.

Both players missed Tuesday night's 3-3 draw with Crewe as they were away on international duty.

Burton acknowledged that his side missed Cunningham's presence at the back in midweek but praised his young squad for helping the club on their current run of one defeat in 19 matches.

He said: "The bigger squad you've got and the fitter squad you've got then the more chance you've got especially if you do pick up injuries.

"A lot of young players have come in and done very well in their first full season in football."
