FULHAM
11th in Premiership
with 23 points
Position achievable
after MatchDay 19:
Highest 9th - Lowest 15th
  • FULHAM and West Ham get the festive fixtures underway with a Saturday lunchtime London derby between sides buoyed by morale boosting victories last time out. The Cottagers gained their sixth win of the season, home to Middlesbrough. All six have been by a single goal, and another here would be Fulham's 50th maximum in the top League since Chris Coleman has been selecting the side.
  • This is the first of three successive London Premiership derbies for Fulham. They go to Charlton next Wednesday, and to champions Chelsea three days later, before entertaining Watford on New Years Day. Coleman will be hoping his side can wrap up a third consecutive victory in top tier capital clashes, following 2-1 home wins over Charlton and Arsenal.
  • The 0-2 victory at Upton Park on 3 November 2001 is Fulham's only triumph over the Hammers in the six Premiership meetings. Their last home League maximum over them was the 4-2 top flight triumph on 15 October 1966 - over 40 years ago.
  • Seven places and six points superior to West Ham, with one more League victory.
  • Won a third of their Premiership fixtures so far this season (six of 18).

18th in Premiership
with 17 points
Position achievable
after MatchDay 19:
Highest 14th - Lowest 18th
  • WEST HAM UNITED travel from east to west of the capital, looking to build on last Sunday's sensational 1-0 victory over leaders Manchester United on the debut of manager Alan Curbishley. Only goal difference is separating the Hammers from a place outside the relegation zone, but if they're to complete back-to-back Premiership victories for the first time in eight outings, they'll have to improve on the worse away record in the top table.
  • The Hammers and Charlton have each gained just one point on their top flight travels this term. West Ham's came from a 1-1 draw at Watford on 22 August, since when they've lost eight in a row on the road. They've won two and lost two of their four League matches against clubs from inside the M25 this season, but do not have any more derbies scheduled for the holiday period. Home games with Portsmouth on Boxing Day and Manchester City next Saturday follow this, before a trip to Reading on New Years Day.
  • The Hammers hold a 100% Premiership record on Fulham turf - three visits, three victories, conceding just one goal. Marlon Harewood was the match winner in this corresponding fixture last season. His goal meant he had netted four in a week.

  • On the Premiership's longest run of 30 games since a win by more than a single goal (6-1, home to West Brom on 11 February).
  • Won two and lost four of the last six League outings.
  • Not managed a shut out in seven attempts, and gained just one clean sheet in 13.
  • Kept just three Premiership clean sheets. No club has managed fewer, although West Ham and Blackburn have also registered three.
  • Only Manchester United have a higher aggregate in the highest League of 48 goals. Fulham's is 46 (18 for, 28 against).
  • Conceded the opening goal in 11 top tier encounters this term.
  • Shipped more goals in the first quarter (22 minutes) of Premiership matches this season than any other club (seven), and gone in at half time all square in 10 of their 18 League fixtures.
Brian McBRIDE is Fulham's leading scorer, with five goals.
  • Only Liam ROSENIOR has been on the field for every minute of every one of Fulham's Premiership matches this season.

Mark PEMBRIDGE needs one more appearance to total 400 in his English League career (Luton, Derby, Sheffield Wednesday, Everton and Fulham).

  • If he figures, NICLAS JENSEN will be making his 50th Premiership appearance (Manchester City and Fulham).
  • If he participates, Ian PEARCE will be facing a former club. PEARCE made 163 appearances and scored 10 goals for West Ham between September 1997 and January 2004. Of those 142 appearances and nine goals were in the Premiership.
  • If on the field from the outset, PEARCE will be making his 50th Premiership start in Fulham colours.

  • Won two and lost five of the last seven Premiership matches.
  • Last recorded successive top flight victories on 29 October and 5
November (2-1, home to Blackburn, and 1-0, home to Arsenal).
  • Still on their lowest points return to the corresponding stage of a Premiership season since the relegation campaign of 2002-03. Then just 14 points were accrued from the first 19 fixtures.
  • Failed to score in 10 of their 18 fixtures, and lost all 10.
  • Conceded the opening goal in more top tier matches than any other club (13).
  • Holding a 100% record when clean sheets are kept, but managed only three. Only Blackburn and Fulham have also kept so few in the highest League.
  • Been shown more yellow cards in Premiership matches than any other club (39).
  • One of four clubs yet to win away from home in this Premiership campaign. Without a League maximum on the road in nine, since beating West Brom 0-1 at the Hawthorns on 1 May.
  • Not scored in seven away League games, or 708 minutes (11 hours 48 minutes) since Bobby Zamora's 12th minute effort against Liverpool on 26 August.
  • Need to score once to total 200 Premier League goals away from home, all time.
  • Bobby ZAMORA is West Ham's leading scorer with five goals - all in the Premiership.
  • ZAMORA needs one more to total 100 League goals.
  • Marlon HAREWOOD is a hat trick short of 100 career League goals (Nottingham Forest, Ipswich and West Ham).
  • Nigel REO-COKER is the only remaining West Ham player to have started all of the Hammers' Premiership matches this season.
  • If he plays, REO-COKER will be making his 50th Premiership appearance.
  • If he gets a run out, Christian DAILLY will be making his 150th League appearance in a West Ham shirt, and should he participate from the opening whistle he'll be making his 150th start for the Hammers.
  • If he figures from the outset, Anton FERDINAND will be making his 100th career start - all for West Ham.
  • If involved, Paul KONCHESKY will be making his 250th club career appearance (Charlton, Tottenham and West Ham).
