Referee and Discipline:

The Referee on Saturday is S. W. Mathieson from Stockport. He has officiated at some 7 games in the Nationwide Division One this season giving out 29 yellow cards over 7 games.

This is the second highest number of Yellow's for any ref in the Nationwide Division One and the highest without giving a Red.

Ref Mathieson blows up for about 20 fouls a match and has been fairly even handed between home and away teams with his cautions. Possible good news for the Super Whites is that virtually all the games he has refed have been won by home teams.

Nicky Eaden, Martin O'Connor of Birmingham players have 4 yellows while Darren Purse has passed 5 yellows.

Rufus Brevett and Bazza Hayles are also on 4 yellows.

It will be interesting to see if Mr Mathieson's normal evenhandedness continues on Saturday and if he decides that this is the day he uses his red card for the first time this season.
