It's been a summer of teams changing their club colours, traditional kit pattern and copying ideas from the past - and it's no different at Fulham.

The club have unveiled their new home shirt for the 2012/13 season which for the first time in their Premier League history will feature stripes.

Stripes are not a unique addition to the Fulham kit from years gone by with the club displaying a similar pin-stripe experiment in the 1980s.

The switch in styles is likely to surprise supporters, despite the Cottagers teasing fans with a 'show your stripes' campaign in the run-up to the release.

The home strip is the third made by Italian designers Kappa and follows on from the earlier release this summer of an orange away kit.

Boss Martin Jol will hope the strip, which will be worn by new signings including Hugo Rodallega, will keep the Cottagers back in the top half of the Premier League.
