Fulham have entered the race to sign Fleetwood Town's non-league striking sensation Jamie Vardy.
Several Premier League and Championship scouts watched Vardy score his 18th goal in 21 games as Fleetwood lost to Blackpool in the FA Cup third round on Saturday.
And Fulham boss Martin Jol was suitably impressed by his scouts' reports to make a move for the 24-year-old.
As Sportsmail revealed, Blackpool made a move for Vardy soon after his display against them last weekend, but their bid of £500,000 was rejected.
Charlton are also in the race, but Fleetwood are understood to be holding out for £1million transfer fee.
Vardy only joined Fleetwood last summer after a prolific season at Halifax in 2010-11 alerted their attention.
