Slovan Liberec defensive midfielder Marcel Gecov is flying to London to have a medical with Fulham, according to the player's agent.
The two clubs have negotiated a deal for the former Czech Republic U21 international, with the Cottagers expected to discuss personal terms this week.
Tough-tackling Gecov is also wanted by Sprta Prague, but Fulham boss Martin Jol looks to have won the race.
The player's agent, Jiri Muller, said: "The clubs have been negotiating, so we will see how it turns out. Marcel is to undergo a medical and will have an interview with coach Jol."
The 23-year-old started his career with Slavia Prague and has made 79 appearances in Czech Republic's top flight, scoring three times.
