Fulham are facing real problems with strikers in their first season back
in the top flight. Last season in their Division One Championship campaign
they put away a massive 90 goals in 46 games but this season they have
scored just 23 in 22 games
Now with an away F.A. Cup game at York approaching on the weekend Fulham
have only one first team striker available.

Louis Saha is out with a broken nose, inflicted by Chris Vinnicombe of
Wycombe Wanderers with a dangerous over the head kick, Luis Boa Morte
is out after being streachered off after a tackle at Sunderland and Barry
Hayles is currently suspended for having 5 yellow cards.
Manager Jean Tigana was able to joke that "I may have to make a come-back
myself !" but he is now under intense pressure to successfully conclude
his search for another striker

Even on the disciplinary front life has also been tough for Fulham's
strikers. Louis Saha is the most fouled player in the Premiership, Barry
Hayles is one foul off being the biggest fouler in the league, and the
subject of two F.A. inquiries, while Luis Boa Morte was top of the red
card list until the F.A. overturned one of them. All this despite Fulham
being second in the Premiership fairplay league.
It's no wonder they have problems scoring, it must seem that if the opposition
can't take them out the Refs get them.
