Fulham arranged another pre-season friendly against Club Deportivo
Alaves at Craven Cottage on Saturday August 11th.
Alaves are the second Spanish La Liga side that Jean Tigana's team
will face in pre-season. Fulham meet Espanyol in France on Saturday
August 4th.
El Glorioso (the Glorious) as Alaves are nicknamed are one of the
lesser known of the Basque clubs. Manager Jose Manuel Esnal led the club
to European qualification for the first time in their history with a sixth
spot finish in the 1999-2000 Primera season - and they reached the Uefa
Cup final, where they heroically lost 5-4 to Liverpool at the first attempt.
It was a truly remarkable achievement.as the Basque side despatched Gaziantepspor,
Lillestrom, Rosenborg, Italian giants Internazionale, Spanish rivals Rayo
Vallecano and Kaiserslautern en route to the final in Dortmund.
Further details and ticket information will follow as soon as it is available.
However, it has been confirmed that the match will be an evening kick off.
