Weekend reports suggest that Bayern Munich's
Carsten Jancker could emerge as Fulham's alternative to Jan Koller, who
joined Borussia Dortmund.
The 26-year-old German international would cost around £8million,
although Bayern may be ready to cash in on the player after they signed
Peruvian international Claudio Pizarro.
The European champions have seven strikers on their books and after refuting
claims that Brazilian star Elber was for sale, Jancker may be the player
to move on.
Jean Tigana is on the lookout for a striker after being thwarted in his
attempts to sign Koller, and 6ft 5ins Jancker would be a similar alternative
to the towering Belgium international.
