Fulham goalkeeper Ricardo Batista has signed a contract extension tokeep him at the Cottage until the summer of 2009.

The 20-year-old,who spent last season on loan at Wycombe Wanderers follows the lead of Antti Niemi who penned a two-year deal on Monday.

Fulham boss Lawrie Sanchez is reported to be interested in signing an experienced shot-stopper to challenge Niemi, but is keeping Batista for the future.
