Fulham have had a £50,000 bid for teen star Kadeem Harris rejected.
But they are now poised to make a second offer for the Wycombe midfielder, 18, with £75,000 thought to be their valuation.
Fulham hope to tie up the deal quickly because scouts from West Ham and Tottenham have also recommended the League Two Apprentice of the Year.
Cottagers boss Martin Jol is also eyeing a move for Monaco keeper Stephane Ruffier, 24.
Jol is equally keen on Espanyol shot-stopper Carlos Kameni but Ruffier is a cheaper option, having insisted he wants to quit the relegated French club.
