Chris Coleman has not ruled Jimmy Bullard out of playing for Fulham again this season.

The summer signing from Wigan Athletic suffered a serious injury in only his fourth appearance for The Cottagers in September.

He damaged ligaments in a game at Newcastle United and was not expected to feature again this season.

But Bullard has been making promising progress in his recovery and could be available before the campaign is over.

Though Fulham boss Coleman will not press the midfielder back into action, he is keeping an open mind about the 28-year-old's return.

"We've not ruled out the prospect of him playing again this season, although we don't want to put pressure on him to do that," said Coleman.

"The latest he will be back is pre-season, but he's on schedule and if he gets in any kind of game before then, it will be brilliant."
