Fulham drawn away again in the 5th round

last updated Sunday 27th January 2002, 10:42 PM
Fulham have been drawn against Division One strugglers Walsall in the 5th round of the F.A. Cup. It follows victories over lower league opposition Wycombe Wanderers and York in previous rounds.

Of course if a home draw is not available then lower league opposition is the next best option. Certainly on form we should be able to beat Walsall who, despite their defeat of Charlton at the Valley in the last round, have just 7 victories out of 30 games so far this season. Historically we have lost just 3 times in 15 visits to Walsall.

Walsall's new Manager Colin Lee believes that he can use the Fulham game as part of his team motivation for the rest of the season. He said "We have very important league games coming up and I am sure every player will want to play against Fulham, so they will have to perform to earn their shirts." Best of luck Colin.

Come on you Whites the quarter-finals are beckoning.
