It is being reported that Moritz Volz is surplus to requirements at Craven Cottage as Fulham have signed John Pantsil and are close to signing Fredrik Stoor.
Reports in Spain claim Racing Santander have been offered the chance to sign Volz.
Racing are believed to be considering making a move for Volz, although his fellow countryman - Andreas Wolf of Nurnberg - is also known to be on their radar.
"The financial conditions are interesting and we intend to give our answer in the coming days," said a Racing spokesman.
