Fulham boss Martin Jol has made Fulham defender Matthew Briggs available for loan.

The England U21 international has made just two Premier League appearances this season, and has been stuck behind John Arne Riise in the pecking order.

Briggs was poised to go out on loan last week, only for him to be needed at Craven Cottage as cover.

But boss Jol hopes the left-back can get game time elsewhere once he recovers from a knock he suffered playing for the reserves.

He said: "I stopped a loan last week because we needed him.

"I want him to go to another club to play and they were very happy to play him, but we had a situation where Chris Baird had a problem with his kid.

"But I still feel if there's any opportunity for me to let Briggsy play somewhere, and there's a lot of interest in him, I will think about it."
