Fulham have completed the signing of defender Franck Queudrue from Middlesbrough, for a fee believed to be £2million, on a four-year deal.
The 27-year-old joined Middlesbrough from Lens in May 2002 after impressing during an initial eight-month loan.
Queudrue told Fulham's website that he wanted a new challenge, adding: "I met boss Chris Coleman and was impressed with his ambition for the future.
"He spoke with great passion about what he wanted to achieve long term and I am happy to be part of those plans."
Queudrue made 199 appearances in total for Boro, including last season's loss to Sevilla in the Uefa Cup final.
Fulham boss Coleman said he had admired Queudrue for some time.
"He is a gifted player with great skill, and I know that he will make a difference to our back line," he said.
"I am planning for the future here at Fulham and I know that the additions we have made this summer and back in January have increased our chances of long term success and I am very excited about the future.'
Queudrue becomes Fulham's fourth signing of the summer following the arrival of Jimmy Bullard, Gabriel Zakuani and Bjorn Runstrom.
