Fulham boss Lawrie Sanchez said: 'It shows all the sides of us. We are entertaining, we score goals, we concede goals, we go into lead and we can't finish them off.
"We're the secondhighest scorers in the league and the secondworst defensively. A lot of what we do is very good but a lot is very bad."
'It's entertaining football but nearly gives me a heart attack and you only get a point for it.
'We give up goals too easy, something we are trying to rectify.
'I'm not sure if we are elated or dejected. We are a decent side, we gave Man City all sorts of problems.
'It's interesting but I'd be happier going home with three points and not just one.'
Fulham substitute Danny Murphy, making his debut after moving from Tottenham who lost a 3-1 lead at Craven Cottage three weeks ago, was the hero this time with a 74th-minute strike to earn a point.
Murphy said: "We are never down and out, that's for sure."
Man City boss Eriksson, who saw Bulgarian midfielder Martin Petrov score his first two goals for the club, admitted: "Six goals in a Premier League game is unusual and great fun if you come to watch or look at it on television - but in my job it is very disappointing to concede goals like that."
Eriksson, whose team stay second in the table behind Arsenal even though Murphy's strike deprived them of their fifth League win of the season, made light of an incident in which England's 19-year-old new defender Micah Richards was lucky not to be sent off.
He clashed with Fulham's American striker Clint Dempsey after a tough tackle and clearly raised his hands - but referee Mark Halsey showed only a yellow card to both players.
Eriksson said: "Football would be perfect if nobody ever reacted. That is just what happened but Micah is a young player learning new lessons every day. This won't be a problem for him."
He added: "I was delighted to see Martin Petrov score two goals.
"He has had a lot of shots this season but has not been lucky with his finishing.
"He's a very good player and hopefully this will be the first goals of many from him.
"I'd like to win matches by playing entertaining football because if you don't you will not be able to get many wins.
"I would rather win 1-0 than draw 3-3 but we always seek to play attractive football and as long as I can be in charge that will continue."
