Hans Segers Fulham boss Martin Jol has appointed Hans Segers as Fulham's new goalkeeping coach.

The Dutchman has turned to the former Wimbledon keeper - who was part of his backroom staff during his time in charge of Spurs - as a replacement for Kevin Hitchcock.

Boss Jol said: "He comes from PSV Eindhoven, I worked with him in my time at Spurs so I know him very well."

Ray Lewington Meanwhile, Ray Lewington has been promoted to one of Jol's assistants.

The 54-year-old had been working with the club's youth system but has been handed a more senior role by the new boss in SW6.

"We started off with Ray Lewington because he's probably a main figure here, at this club, he knows everything," added Jol.

"He was here when Roy [Hodgson] was here and working here for the academy when Mark [Hughes] was here, so I think he's a key figure here."
