Fulham have made a double bid for Middlesbrough’s rising stars Stewart Downing and Stuart Parnaby.
Teenage wing sensation Downing, 19, is out of contract in the summer and is in talks with Boro over a new deal.
He destroyed Fulham at the Riverside last week but their boss Chris Coleman had already made an approach before then.
Boro chief Steve McClaren said: “Talks are ongoing and we’re hoping Stewart will stay.”
Coleman has also asked about England Under-21 right-back Parnaby, who is being kept out of the side by on-loan Danny Mills.
