Fulham at home to Blackburn

last updated Tuesday 24th November 2009, 9:31 AM
On Wednesday evening at 20.00 Fulham face Blackburn at The Cottage in a Premiership game heldover from earlier in the season.

Although Blackburn have lost 5 out of their 6 away games this season they have had to visit Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal and Everton. So they may not be as big a push over as five defeats indicate.

Fulham in their turn have won 3 out of their last 5 home games, losing to only Arsenal and Chelsea while beating Liverpool, Hull and Everton.

In the last five Premiership meetings between the two clubs at Craven Cottage Fulham have won ony once, back in December 2005 with Blackburn winning twice.

if Fulham have any hope of becoming a solid mid-table outfit it is this type of game that they should win.

Blackburn manager Sam Allardyce will miss the game as he is to have a heart operation, an angioplasty to widen one of his coronary arteries. Assistant manager Neil McDonald will be in charge.
