Charlton midfielder Amdy Faye will have a late fitness test ahead of the crucial Barclays Premiership clash with Fulham on Wednesday.
Faye limped off during the second half of his side's 2-0 defeat at Middlesbrough on Saturday and club doctors were busy assessing both the nature and extent of his injury.
Darren Ambrose (knee) and Jerome Thomas (virus) could both be pushing for recalls but Andy Reid (hamstring) and captain Luke Young (knee) are both definitely out for the whole festive period.
Fulham defender Zat Knight will misses out because of a broken jaw.
Knight sustained the injury in an accident at home last week and will be sidelined for two months.
Iceland striker Heidar Helguson will miss the trip to the Valley through suspension but Collins John and Claus Jensen could return from hamstring problems.
