Fulham are planning a move for Bayern Munich's
£10m-rated striker Carsten Jancker, according to reports in Germany.
Craven Cottage boss Jean Tigan is understood to be eyeing a move for Jancker,
who played in the Champions League final victory against Valencia, after
missing out on Czech Jan Koller.
Fulham hoped to do a deal for Koller,
but he opted to join Borussia Dortmund.
Tigana faces opposition from Serie A side Fiorentina, but he is determined
to make a major signing after also being snubbed by Liverpool's £4m
new boy John Arne Riise.
Bayern have announced they are putting Jancker and Swedish defender Patrick
Andersson up for sale.
Bayern coach Ottmar Hitzfeld, who also guided Bayern to the title last term,
announced on the eve of the Champions League final that Jancker and Andersson
would be sold before their contracts expired.
The 26-year-old Jancker joined Bayern after a successful spell at Rapid
Vienna where his goals inspired them to the 1996 Cup Winners Cup final.
