Sky 2 at 15:00 gmt
Under the guidance of manager Frank McMorrow, the Fulham ladies team, in their
first year as professionals have had a highly successful season.
Having already completed the double by winning the South-East Combination League
Championship and the London County Cup. They now are now going for the treble
against Arsenal in the FA Cup final on Monday.
Fulham's Rachel Yankey has aldready experienced winning the FA Cup - Ironically
with Monday's opponents Arsenal.
After having beaten Arsenal in a tough encounter in the London County Cup final,
there was a suspicion that the Gunners had entered into mind games by fielding
a reserve team.
Manager Frank McMorrow was unequivocal in his reply to suggestions that Arsenal’s
tactics had affected his players:
"Not at all, it's just made us aware that the Arsenal game is going to
be very, very tough.
"Their first team is very good and they do have a good reserve side. Many
of their reserve team players are good enough to get into the first teams of
other sides.
"We're aware of how they play their system, they're good at passing so
we will have to make sure that we counter that." said .
For many Fulham supporters, this match will be their first chance to have a
look at the ladies team. As the attendances for ladies matches have steadily
grown throughout the season, the general consensus from supporters has been
overwhelmingly positive as McMorrow explained:
"I think the first reaction that many people have had after watching their
first ladies match is surprise at the skill level that's on display. It does
open people's eyes."
Even though Fulham have dominated their division, the cup competitions have
provided the ideal opportunity for the ladies to test their skills against teams
from higher divisions.
Whereas many of their league games have resulted in comprehensive victories,
it was still unknown how the team would react mentally to more resilient opposition
