Fulham Ladies 9 Chelmsford 0

last updated Monday 09th April 2001, 8:59 PM
A disappointing display saw Fulham Ladies win 9-0 win over 5th placed Chelmsford in the South East Combination League.

Fulham lacked their usual quick passing game and wasted many chances in front of goal. The Chelmsford ‘keeper was in outstanding form but she was lucky not to be dismissed for a blatant foul that led to Fulham’s second goal from the penalty spot.

Half time saw the ladies go in 3-0 up but the second half saw little change in their play but they still managed to add another six. Three of these came in the last 10 minutes as Fulham managed to evade the effective offside trap.

Haugenes scored 5 with Norwegian team mate adding 3. Rachel Yankey scored the other.

Fulham Team: Young; Jhooti; Jerray-Silver; Petersen; Phillip; Hynes; Duncan; McArthur; Yankey(1); Haugenes(5); Pettersen(3)

Subs: White for Jerray-Silver (45 mins) Dinham for McArthur (65 mins)

Fulham Ladies next game is against the U.SA. Under-19 at Motspur Park on Saturday 14th April. Kick off 11:00 a.m.
