Zat Knight

Fulham fans blamed Zat Knight for Tottenham’s first two goals and the defender had an angry exchange with them at the end.

Knight, who had been handed the captain’s armband, felt the wrath of supporters as he left the pitch.

He remonstrated with them ( allegedly swearing at the loudest fan and being held back from a more physical response before being hustled down the tunnel).

A Fulham spokeswoman said:

“Zat was unhappy with his performance and what the fans were shouting.

“At first he shouted back only to quickly realise he was in the wrong.

He then apologised to the supporters.”
