Fulham defender Steve Finnan has been named in Brian Kerr's 23-man squad for the Republic of Ireland's forthcoming Euro 2004 qualifiers.
Albania are the visitors to Lansdowne Road on 7 June before Georgia provide the opposition at the same venue four days later.
Finnan played in his country's opening qualifying defeat in Russia back in September but has not featured in any of their three qualifiers since.
Stephen Carr is Finnan's main rival for the right-back berth and it was the Tottenham man who was handed a starting role in the Republic of Ireland's last qualifier in Albania last month.
The Republic of Ireland are currently fourth in their qualifying group, but lie just four points behind Group 10 leaders Switzerland with four games remaining.
