Apparently the Football Association are still waiting for referee David Laws' report on Fulham's match against Bolton to determine whether or not Luis Boa Morte will face further punishment for his sending off.
Luis was red carded after remonstrating with and allegedly spitting at Robbie Elliott the Bolton player who had launched a ferocious potentially leg breaking foul on Luis moments earlier.
The FA could punish Boa Morte further with a misconduct charge which will go on top of the three-match suspension he faces for the red card.
If the FA decide to charge the Portuguese forward he can expect a lengthy ban as Arsenal's Patrick Vieira was suspended for six games when he spat at West Ham's Neil Ruddock in 1999.
It is possible that the FA will check the match video to understand how the situation developed. Unfortunately they are unlikely to further punish Elliott who escaped with a yellow card
