Lewis wants to stay in England

After the match Eddie Lewis commented that
"Jean Tigans has led and prepared us well for our promotion"
On the chance of returning to the states, Lewis said “I want to stay
in England, I want to stay as long as I can. It’s more competitive
and much more difficult to break in as a foreigner, as an American.”
He has no problems returning five or six years down the road, but for now
he rather stay put. While he feels the MLS has grown by “leaps and
bounds” he feels the atmosphere surrounding the game will only improve
his level of play.
Lewis is very happy with the situation surrounding the Men’s National
Team. “Three out of three is what we want, although I feel we can play
a little better. A good June, and the team is qualified, hopefully we can
keep it up. We’re getting better each game, and I don’t think
anyone is to unhappy at the moment.” |
