Division One Scores, Fixtures & Stats

last updated Saturday 24th March 2001, 6:30 PM

Fulham Football Club are the top club in the Nationwide league.

The Mighty Whites are resting this weekend as so many of our players are away playing in international games.

In fact there are only four Division One fixtures over the coming weekend and only the Birmingham game had any passing interest for fans of the Super Whites.

Birmingham continued to stutter with a 2-1 home defeat against Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday. It would seem that Birmingham's opportunity to claim the second automatic promotion spot has slipped them by.

They have now lost two of their last three games and drew the other one. This leaves them in fourth spot 16 points behind Fulham having now played a game more than Fulham

The only real competition now is third placed Blackburn also 16 points behind Fulham but with two games in hand.

Say ... We are top of Division One after three quarters of the campaign, have lost only four games, have the best goal difference and the leading scorer in the Premier and Nationwide leagues.
