Cookie Coleman Captain of FulhamFulham Football Club is pleased to announce that club Captain Chris Coleman has signed a 4-year extension to his contract that will keep him at the club until 2004.

Coleman joined Fulham from Blackburn Rovers in November 1997 for a then club record transfer fee of £2.1million. He was one of Kevin Keegan’s first signings and, at the time, dropped down two divisions to join Fulham.

Coleman played an influential role in Fulham’s promotion to Division One, and will hopefully help Fulham Football Club fulfill its ambition of playing Premiership football.

Managing Director Michael Fiddy said, “I am delighted that Chris has pledged his future to Fulham. He has been a fantastic servant and played a key role in the club’s comeback over the past three years.

The next objective is to reach the Premiership and Chris Coleman is a vital part of that plan.”
