Cookie Coleman out
for 18 months!

Chris Coleman has been told he could be out for up to 18 months, not just a year,
after doctors analysed the full extent of his injuries.
The Fulham captain has now been moved to a private hospital at the expense of
chairman Mohamed Al Fayed after undergoing a series of operations on his leg,
which is broken in three places following a car crash.
One operation lasted more than nine hours and Coleman was then put in an incubator
to prevent him catching infection.
Now doctors say they can get him back to normal, but it will be a long, long trek,
and it could be season 2002-2003 before he is ready to play.
