"After the accident a lot of people said
I wouldn't make it back and yet the doctors gave me a 75 per cent chance,"
Coleman said today.
"So far I'm ahead of schedule.
"This was a bad injury, as bad as it gets," said the 31-year-old
Welsh international defender who damaged knee ligaments and broke his right
leg and ankle when he crashed his sports car into a tree.
"My tibia has knitted perfectly and now I'm running and doing the odd
twist and turn," said Coleman.
"The next step is whether my knee is OK. I damaged a cruciate in the
accident, but so far it hasn't given me any extra problems.
"If I'm told I don't need an operation then it is possible, just possible,
that I could be back before the end of the season. If not, it will be the
start of next season," said Coleman.
