David James |

The nickname "calamity" is unlikely to ever be forgotten but, if David James keeps a clean sheet for Portsmouth at Fulham today, he could claim to be the best goalkeeper in Premiership history.
James equalled David Seaman's mark of 141 in the goalless draw against Reading two weeks ago and he now looks certain to break the record before the end of the season.
"It's nice to get level with David Seaman, so I'm the holder of some sort of record already," he said. "I feel fitter and stronger than I did all those years ago at Liverpool."
James, who has played every minute of Portsmouth's league campaign, is also close to passing the landmark of 500 top-flight appearances since he moved from Watford to Liverpool in 1992.
Though he lost his England place after Steve McClaren became head coach last summer, the 36-year-old hopes to keep playing at the highest level until at least 2010, and has the backing of his current manager in trying to achieve that goal.
"David James will play for at least another four years in the Premier League - no danger," said Harry Redknapp. "We want to keep him, because there's no one as good as him around. He's so fit and agile, it's unbelievable."
