NEW Hull chairman Adam Pearson is investigating Jimmy Bullard's signing from Fulham - and is scrutinising his club medical.

Pearson, who has returned to the KC Stadium in place of Paul Duffen, has called for all the paperwork on Bullard's £5million transfer - particularly details of the midfielder's examination back in January.

Bullard signed for Hull on a 4½-year, £50,000-a-week deal but broke down in his first game, injuring the same knee he dislocated while at Fulham.

He was ruled out for the rest of the season, after flying to the US to be operated on by surgeon Richard Steadman who had treated him previously.

Bullard made his League comeback in mid-October, as a sub against his old club, but has still not been able to prove he is back to full fitness.

A Hull source said: "Adam is looking at all the transfers at Hull over the last couple of years and has got his teeth into the Bullard one.

"He has been going over the reports from the club doctor and looking into all aspects of that and every other transfer."
