Fulham striker Geoff Horsfield is set to realise his Premiership
dream with a £3million move to Bradford City.

               The
26-year-old Barnsley-born ex-brickie could be on his way out of
Craven Cottage after finding his place by the River Thames under
threat after new Fulham boss Jean Tigana signed striker Louis
Saha for £3.1million from French club Metz.

And a move back to his native Yorkshire would suit the 6ft strongman
                down to the ground.
He made his name just down the road from Bradford at Halifax
Town and grabbed 34 goals as the Shaymen stormed to the Vauxhall
                Conference title in 1997.
The Bantams made an attempt to sign him then but he stayed loyal
to Halifax before then Fulham manager Kevin Keegan paid the third
division club a club-record £350,000 for the former Scarborough
                man.
Keegan later declared the transfer as a "great bit of business"
and said that Horsfield was even better than he thought.
But he was troubled by injury for much of last season and the
sacking of Paul Bracewell could signal the end of his time in
                London.
Bradford boss Chris Hutchings has a £4million transfer budget
and is in need of more weight in attack if the Bantams are to
defy the odds and survive in the Premiership once again.
Horsfield was close to a £5million move to Bradford's Yorkshire
neighbours Leeds United last November before David O'Leary pulled
                out of the deal.
