Fulham players have been urged to
turn their stunning cup form into league points as soon as possible
by Paul Bracewell.
Fulham's tremendous 3-0 victory over
Wimbledon in the FA Cup on Saturday means the Whites have beaten
two Premiership clubs already this season. And they plan to make
it three against Leicester in the Worthington Cup quarter-final
on Wednesday.
But the team's league form has not been so impressive, with only
one
goal in nine hours of football. And manager Paul Bracewell has been
quick to remind his jubilant players that it is league points which
really matter. "It's a big week for Fulham. We have another cup
game on Wednesday and then a big league game at Manchester City
on Saturday. Our season is just started. We are only one point outside
the top six and we need to get back in a play-off position.
"I said to the lads before and after
the game that it is the league that matters, and they know that
now. We need to take this cup form into the league and I think we
can. "It's all about work. After Saturday's game the lads in the
dressing room were shattered because they had worked so hard. That's
